These young eco guardians delivered a fantastic presentation to the Folkestone Rotary Club yesterday in a bid to be awarded some funding for an arts-based project taking place in Term 6.
I am delighted to report that they were successful in their application and were awarded £300 towards the project. Well done children you really demonstrated how passionate you are about making a difference in this world!

Rugby Award

These two children, who are integral members of the folkestone rugby football club U9’s, took part in the Saracens core values festival, where it is not just based upon the amount of tries scored but by the core values: honesty, work rate, discipline and humility. There were sixteen teams who took part in this festival and the folkestone U9’s came first! Very big achievement.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK.

Once again this was awarded for her hard work and exceptional way she conducted herself and others in the Saracens festival. By maintaining the core values and working hard as part of the team.
As she has continued to make progress and work hard at her training, and improved upon her skill set, this hasn’t gone unnoticed by other members of the club.

They took part in several rounds of maths questions and did extremely well as they came first out of ten local schools. The children were fantastic ambassadors for the school and displayed excellent mathematical skills and knowledge.
